Hi,
There was a thread a while ago about 10 year olds being able to learn scuba diving through PADI. I know there were a lot of people for and against allowing 10 year olds to dive. NAUI has stated that they will never sanction diving for anyone under 12, I can't say what SSI, NASDS or AUSI's position is, someone in the know may wish to comment on their current stand. So far out of seven potential 10 year old students I have only had one pass a dive medical. The other six were failed by five different doctors because they were too young and due for a growth spurt. Has anyone else out there had the same results? Paul O'Malley |
