Over the last few months there has been a lot negative talk about the new
testing methods being put into place for Luxfer Aluminium Cylinders. If like me, you do own aluminium cylinders, do yourself a favour and go and get a copy of this months "Diver" magazine (May). There is a well written article explaining precisely what the score is! This new testing method comes into effect on the 1st July, precisely when one of my cylinders requires a test. So why haven't dive shops / pumping stations been informing owners of ally cylinders about the new testing requirements? Everytime I've enquired I've always been given a different answer? One shop even told me to cut them up? But then again, I just might have to do this, unless anyone out there can tell me where there's a Testing Station with an NDT machine in the South East of England? Fest!!
