I know which I'd prefer - someone who's prepared to ask 'stupid' questions and think about how they'd handle a range of scenarios rather than someone who offers supposed expert opinions that can be challenged. I hope John has a sense of irony - he's been canned for asking a question that people thought he should know the answer to, but from what I've read some of those who are canning him have got it wrong.
