As I've said on this board before, I believe a ban is not necessary...if you
don't like it, don't do it...education over legislation would seem to be a
much better tact for a campaign against shark feeding...assuming a problem
truly exists.

Instead, you now have a backlash against entire sport of spearfishing...I
know of several people at the meeting who asked to commision to address this
activity as welll....specifically discussing the possiblility of banning
spearfishing on scuba, which would bring the US in line with most other
countries. Is this what Picardi and Earp wanted?...It's not what I
wanted...but I saw it coming.

By the way, at least 75% of those who attended the workshop were against the
ban. Where were all those people Picardi represents? We were in his
backyard...15 for their side would be a generous estimate....hmmmm.

I'd rather be shark diving, (if I so choose)
