I read in a back issue of Rodale's that there is malaria risk traveling to
rural areas of Honduras including Roatan and that preventive medication is
recommended. I looked it up on the CDC's website
(http://www.cdc.gov/travel/regionalmalaria/camerica.htm) and it says the
same thing.

How many of you have taken this advice or ignored it? If you've taken the
preventive meds, what kind of side effects did you experience?
